The kosha is where the two of you sit through the wedding, and the backdrop of most of your photos. The decor around it, from the flowers to the lighting and the tables, gives the night its look. Both deserve thought early on.
Prices
According to Masrawy (September 2026), wedding decor starts at about EGP 30,000 and can reach EGP 500,000, based on offers from specialised decor pages. That wide range comes from the size of the venue, how many fresh flowers you want, the lighting and the details you ask for. These are approximate prices; the details are in the wedding price guide.
Start with a style
- Ask the venue first: some venues include the kosha and lighting in their price, others let you bring an outside decorator, with or without a fee.
- Choose a feel: classic, garden and flowers, or simple and calm. A feel makes every later choice easier.
- Two or three colours: a small palette ties the decor, the dress and the invitation together.
- Save pictures: collect the photos you like and show them to the decorator instead of describing them.
Questions for the decorator
- Real work: ask for photos of weddings they did themselves, not pictures from the internet.
- Fresh or artificial flowers: and the price difference between them.
- Lighting: is it in the offer or separate?
- Setting up and taking down: when it starts, when it ends, and who coordinates with the venue.
- Changes: the last date you can change something.
Put it in the agreement
- Every piece by name: the kosha, the flowers, the lighting, the guest tables and the entrance.
- A photo or sketch of the final look: attached to the agreement.
- The total: the deposit, when the rest is due, and what happens if the wedding is postponed.
