Terms of use
The agreement and who we are
These terms are an agreement between you and Zaghrouta (زغروطة), which is currently run by its founder, [👤 full legal name], as an individual, [👤 city], Arab Republic of Egypt ("we"). They apply to the Zaghrouta app for Android and iPhone, the web app and the website zaghrouta.app. By creating an account or using Zaghrouta, you accept these terms and our privacy policy. Vendors also accept the vendor terms. Everything posted on Zaghrouta follows the content rules, and complaints explains how to raise a problem.
Who can use Zaghrouta
- You must be 16 or older to have an account. Guests can open an invitation and reply without an account.
- An account is for one person. A vendor account belongs to the business, and the person who opens it confirms they may act for it.
- You may not use Zaghrouta if we closed your account before, or if the law forbids it.
What Zaghrouta does
Zaghrouta is a place to plan a wedding and to find wedding services: a directory and booking requests for vendors, an AI planner and assistant, invitations and guest lists, and tools to record the wedding's budget, payments, nuqta and gifts. We don't provide the wedding services ourselves, we don't employ the vendors, and we're not a party to any agreement between you and a vendor, a seller or a shop.
Your account
- Keep your sign-in safe and tell us at once if someone else used your account.
- The information you give us must be true and up to date.
- You're responsible for what happens in your account, including what the people you invite to your plan do with the role you gave them.
Your plan, your partner and your family
- The person who creates a plan can invite their partner and family members, as an editor or a viewer, and remove them at any time.
- Everyone in a plan sees what their role allows. Only invite people you trust with your wedding's details.
- If one partner deletes their account, the plan stays with the other partner.
Vendors
- Vendors must show their real identity, real prices and real availability, and keep them up to date.
- Some categories need proof before they appear: a venue's licence, a drone-filming permit, a ma'zoun's syndicate card. We don't list fireworks.
- Ma'zouns appear in a directory only, with no commission.
- Photos must be the vendor's own work, or used with permission. A vendor may not post other people's photos as their own.
- A vendor may not ask couples to pay outside what they agreed, and may not ask for a deposit before the terms are clear in writing.
- Zaghrouta is free for vendors at launch; any future paid plans for vendors will be announced in advance and sold on the web only. The vendor terms have the details.
Requests, bookings and money
- A quote request is just a question. A booking exists once the vendor confirms it; the date is then blocked in the vendor's calendar.
- Contacting a vendor from the app opens a WhatsApp chat with the vendor's verified number. What you agree there is between you and the vendor.
- The price, deposit, cancellation and refund terms are agreed between you and the vendor. Ask for them in writing; the contract checklist in the app helps.
- Zaghrouta is not a party to the payment. Deposits go straight to the vendor. Nuqta and group gifts go straight to the couple by InstaPay. Gift shops are paid directly. Instalments are with licensed companies on their own terms. The app only records what you enter.
- Gift shops: you send your order to the shop from your own WhatsApp and pay the shop directly, and the shop delivers it.
- Couple perks («مزايا العرسان») are the partners' offers, on the partners' own terms; the partner, not Zaghrouta, provides them.
- We can't refund money you paid to a vendor, a shop or anyone else; a dispute about a payment is between you and them. If a vendor broke these terms, report them and we will act on our side (complaints).
Prices and estimates
- A vendor's price is the vendor's offer, not ours.
- The price check («السعر ده معقول؟»), the gold price, instalment months and the plan's expected cost are estimates, marked «تقديري». They help you decide, but they are not an offer or a promise.
The AI planner and assistant «زغروطة»
- The assistant works only after you agree that your messages (and the photos you attach) go to our AI provider.
- It can make mistakes. Check what matters (dates, prices, papers, visas) with the vendor or the official source before you act.
- It recommends only real vendors on Zaghrouta, and it never contacts a vendor without your confirmation.
- There is a daily limit on questions, so the service stays free and fair for everyone.
Invitations and guests
- Only add guests whose details you have the right to use, and only to invite them to your own events.
- Don't use invitations to send advertising or messages people didn't ask for.
- The designs are our templates and stay editable. Music on invitations is original or licensed; you may not add music you have no rights to.
- Religious openers on invitations are optional and off unless you choose them.
Reviews, photos and «من عروسة لعروسة»
- Reviews come only from confirmed bookings, and must be honest and about your own experience. We never remove a review because a vendor asks; we remove only reviews that break the content rules.
- Photos of your wedding («من غير فلتر») are shown only with your consent. Don't share photos of other people without theirs.
- «من عروسة لعروسة» (pre-loved dresses): describe the item truthfully, show real photos, talk to buyers in the app (phone numbers stay hidden until you choose to share them), and meet in a safe public place or an atelier. A listing stays up for 60 days and can be renewed.
Prohibited content and conduct
You may not use Zaghrouta to:
- post anything false or misleading, including fake prices, fake reviews or other people's photos;
- harass, threaten or insult anyone, or post hateful or sexual content;
- impersonate a person or a business;
- collect other users' data, send spam or scrape the service;
- offer fireworks, or anything illegal in Egypt;
- break the law, other people's rights or these terms.
The content rules say what this means in practice.
Reports, review and appeals
- Anyone signed in can report a vendor's page, a profile, a pre-loved listing or a message. Checks are automatic: an AI checks every report at once, and content reported by 5 different people is hidden while it is checked.
- If we take your content down or limit your account, we tell you why, and you can appeal once from the app; the decision is then checked again. If you still disagree, see complaints.
- We may close accounts that break these terms seriously or more than once.
Your content and your licence to us
You keep the rights to what you post. You give us a free, non-exclusive licence to host, show, adapt (for example resize photos) and distribute it inside Zaghrouta and on zaghrouta.app, only to run and promote the service, for as long as it's on Zaghrouta. You confirm you have the right to post it.
Intellectual property
The name Zaghrouta, «زغروطة», the logo, the assistant's character, the invitation templates and the app's design and code are ours or licensed to us. You may not copy them or use them in a way that suggests we endorse you.
Safety tips
- Check the vendor's identity and get the agreement in writing before you pay a deposit.
- Never send money to someone you haven't verified, and never for a pre-loved item you haven't seen.
- Keep your conversations inside the app where possible, so you can report a problem.
Disclaimers and limits of liability
Zaghrouta is provided "as is". We work to keep the information accurate, but vendors' details come from the vendors, and estimates are estimates. To the extent the law allows, we're not responsible for a vendor's, a seller's or a shop's services, for agreements between users, or for indirect losses. Nothing in these terms limits rights you have under Egyptian consumer protection law that can't be limited.
Ending your use
You can stop using Zaghrouta and delete your account at any time (Me → Delete account, or zaghrouta.app/delete-account). We may suspend or close an account that breaks these terms, as described above.
Changes
When we change these terms, we update the date and version at the top. If a change matters, we tell you in the app before it applies. Using Zaghrouta after that means you accept the new terms.
Governing law and disputes
These terms are governed by the laws of the Arab Republic of Egypt, and the competent Egyptian courts decide disputes. They are available in Arabic and English; if they differ, the Arabic text prevails.
