Content rules

Last updated Oct 23, 2026 · version 0.1

In short: everything on Zaghrouta has to be real: real businesses, real photos, real prices and reviews from real bookings. No insults, hate, sexual content, scams or other people's private details, and no phone numbers or links to move a deal off the app. Checks are automatic and fast: photos are checked when they go up, every report is checked at once, and anything 5 different people report is hidden until it is checked again. If we take something down, we tell you why, and you can appeal once.

What these rules cover

These rules apply to everything people put on Zaghrouta: vendors' pages (names, descriptions, photos, packages and prices), pre-loved listings («من عروسة لعروسة»), messages, invitations and what guests write on them, notes on nuqta and group-gift links, reviews and shared photos. They are part of the terms of use and the vendor terms. Breaking them can mean your content comes down or your account is closed.

Real and honest

  • Post only what is true: your real business, your own photos, your real prices and your real availability.
  • Never fake a vendor, a review, a photo, a price or a booking, and don't post sample content as if it were real.
  • Don't impersonate a person or a business, or suggest you are linked to Zaghrouta or anyone else when you aren't.
  • Describe what you offer or sell honestly, including its condition and what is included.

Not allowed anywhere

  • Harassment, threats, insults or hate against anyone, including for their religion, origin, gender or disability.
  • Sexual content or nudity.
  • Other people's private details (their phone number, address, ID or photos) without their consent, or anything that exposes someone's private life.
  • Scams: asking for a transfer or a deposit (for example by Vodafone Cash or InstaPay) before anything is agreed, a price far below what such a thing costs together with pressure to decide fast, or fake reviews.
  • Phone numbers, social media handles or links in texts and photos to take a deal off the app. A vendor's own pages go in its links section.
  • Spam, chain messages and advertising that has nothing to do with weddings.
  • Fireworks and pyrotechnics, and anything else that is illegal in Egypt.
  • Other people's work (photos, designs, music) used without permission.

Photos

  • Upload photos you took or have the right to use. A vendor's gallery shows the vendor's own work: no stock photos and no other studios' photos.
  • Show people only with their consent, and never photos that embarrass or expose someone.
  • Every photo you upload for others to see goes through an automatic safety check (for example for nudity and violence) and can be taken down.
  • Private files, such as a vendor's ID and licences or the invoices in your الجهاز vault, are never public and never go to that check.

Vendor pages

  • A business page follows the vendor terms: verified identity, the proof its category needs, real prices and a true calendar.
  • The name and description say what the service is. Packages say what they include.
  • We never list fireworks, and ma'zouns appear in a directory only.

Reviews

  • Only a couple with a confirmed booking can review that vendor, about their own experience.
  • No paid, swapped or fake reviews. A vendor may not review its own business or its competitors.
  • We never remove a review because a vendor asks. A review comes down only if it breaks these rules (for example insults, someone's private details, or nothing about the service).

«من عروسة لعروسة»

  • List a dress or bridal piece (a veil, for example) that you wore, for sale or rent.
  • Show the real item in your photos: the front, the back and the details. Professional catalogue shots presented as your own are not allowed.
  • Talk to buyers in the app, where phone numbers stay hidden until you choose to share them. No contact details in your listing.
  • Never ask for a deposit before the buyer has seen the dress.
  • A listing stays up for 60 days, and you can renew it in its last week or after it ends.

Invitations, guests and messages

  • Invitations are made from our templates. Music is original or licensed: don't add music you have no rights to.
  • Religious openers are optional and off unless you choose them.
  • Invite only people you have the right to invite, and only to your own events. Never use invitations or messages for advertising.
  • Messages are for real conversations. To protect people from walls of messages, you can send up to 10 messages in a row before the other person answers, and start up to 20 new conversations a day.
  • What guests write (their reply, a note, the name and message with a nuqta or a gift) follows these rules too.

How we check

  • Photos are checked automatically when they go up.
  • A business is checked before it is listed, and again when its name or documents change. A pre-loved listing is checked right after it goes up or changes.
  • Every report is checked at once. A clear breach comes down without waiting, and anything reported by 5 different people is hidden until it is checked again.
  • The checks are made by an AI that follows these rules, and no person approves each decision before it takes effect. Every decision is recorded with its reason, and our team can review and reverse it.

When a rule is broken

  • The content comes down, or a business page is suspended, and the person who posted it is told why.
  • Some problems can be fixed: a business asked for changes can fix them and send the page again.
  • After a serious breach, repeated breaches or fraud, we may close the account.
  • When the law requires it, we keep the record and pass it to the competent authorities.

Reporting and blocking

  • Signed in, you can report a vendor's page, a profile, a pre-loved listing or a message, with a reason: «شكله نصب» (looks like a scam), «معلومات غلط» (wrong information), «متكرر أو مزعج» (spam), «محتوى مسيء» (offensive) or «حاجة تانية» (something else), and a note if you like.
  • You can block anyone. You then stop hearing from each other, and they can't contact you through Zaghrouta.
  • We don't tell the person you reported who reported them.

Appeals

  • If we take down something you posted, open it in the app, tap «اعترضوا على القرار» (Appeal this decision) and say why, in up to 500 characters.
  • You get one appeal per decision. The item is checked again, usually within minutes, and you are told the result.
  • If you still disagree, see complaints.

Changes and contact

When we change these rules, we update the date and version at the top, and if a change matters, we tell you in the app before it applies. The rules are available in Arabic and English; if they differ, the Arabic text prevails. Questions: [email protected].
